Visit the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi, the launch site of the Dandi March. Explore the museum (Gandhi Smarak Sangrahalaya) and his personal cottage (Hriday Kunj). Start early for a peaceful, reflective experience. (Timing: Approx. 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM. Free entry).
View one of the world's finest collections of Indian antique textiles, some up to 500 years old. CRITICAL NOTE: Visits are usually limited to a guided tour from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and require advance booking (sometimes weeks in advance) and are strictly limited to about 20 people. Confirm your booking status and arrival time immediately. (Closed on Wednesdays).
The afternoon moves outside the city center to the majestic stepwell, followed by a cultural immersion in traditional crafts.
Drive to Adalaj to explore the magnificent 15th-century vav (stepwell). Admire the five-story structure's intricate Indo-Islamic carvings and the cool microclimate inside. (Timing: Approx. 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM. No entry fee).

Explore this magnificent 11th-century temple dedicated to the Sun God, Surya. Pay special attention to the Kunda (stepped tank) and the intricate carvings on the pillars and exterior. Drive a short distance to Patan.
Visit the Queen’s Stepwell, an intricately carved, multi-storey subterranean structure that is one of India's finest step-wells.
Have lunch in Patan. Optionally, visit the Patan Patola Heritage Museum to see the famous, expensive double ikat Patola silk sarees being made by the Salvi family.
Head towards the resort/camp accommodation in the LRK area (typically near Dasada or Bajana).
Check into your resort/camp and relax. Many resorts offer traditional Kutchi dinner and cultural programs.

Morning: Little Rann of Kutch Jeep Safari
Today, after breakfast, we will enjoy our jeep safari to the Little Rann of Kutch to see the famous Wild Ass.
Apart from the Wild Ass, the safari offers sightings of several other mammals, including the Blackbuck (Indian antelope), Nilgai or Blue Bull, the graceful Chinkara, Indian Wolf, Desert Fox, Indian Fox, Jackals, Desert and Jungle Cats, and hyenas. The Rann is also a paradise for bird-watchers, especially for migratory species such as Flamingos, Pelicans, Ducks, Cranes, and Storks.
Afternoon: Lunch and Tribal Village Visits
Later, we will return to the hotel for lunch.
After lunch, it's time to explore the Rabari and Bhairwad tribal villages around Dasada. Our visits will include:
The rural Vadiara and Kharapat Rabaris of Dasada, known for their distinct embroideries.
The silk-weavers colony at Dasada.
Ambala village of the Bharwad shepherds and goatherds.
Other optional stops that can be included in the tour are the weaving cooperative at Bajana and various artisan's workshops. We may also pass by other local communities near Dasada, such as the Padhars (primarily fishing people), the Siddis, and the semi-nomadic Mirs, Jaths (Muslim herders), and Bajanias.

Today is dedicated to exploring the unique arts and communities of the Banni Grasslands, a region famous for its distinct semi-nomadic and pastoral cultures.

Hodka: Known for beautiful leatherwork and intricate embroidery.
Ludiya: Famous for its distinctly decorated, circular mud houses called Bhunga houses, which are marvels of traditional architecture and mud-mirror work (Lippan Art).
Nirona: A hub for three unique Kutch crafts:
Rogan Art: A rare, 300-year-old form of cloth painting using a paste made from castor oil.
Copper Bells: Traditional, distinctively tuned bells crafted from scrap metal.

This day offers a change of pace, moving from the desert and artisan villages to the Arabian Sea coast. Here is the itinerary for your trip to Mandvi, organized by activity:
Destination: Mandvi, a historical port town on the Arabian Sea coast.
Activities:
Visit Mandvi Beach for a relaxing coastal experience.
Explore the town's famous old ship-building yards, where large wooden ships (dhows) are still constructed entirely by hand using traditional techniques.
En Route: Keep an eye out for and explore various Rabari settlements situated along the route between Bhuj and Mandvi.
Activity: Enjoy a beautiful sunset at Mandvi.
Return: Drive back to Bhuj after sunset.

Today is a long travel day. Begin your drive south from Bhuj towards Gondal or Rajkot (approximately 7–8 hours). Upon arrival, check in at your heritage hotel in Gondal. Relax and prepare for the upcoming sightseeing and activities in the Saurashtra region.
Gondal, located in the Saurashtra region of Gujarat, is a historic princely town known for its rich royal heritage, elegant palaces, and old-world charm. Once ruled by the Jadeja Rajputs, Gondal showcases beautifully preserved architecture, vintage car collections, and serene gardens. The town is also famous for its Ayurvedic pharmacies, handicrafts, and the royal family's dedication to education and public welfare. Visit the most unique structure in the city, the Mahabat Maqbara. It is an ornate mausoleum that stands out for its unique blend of Indo-Islamic and Gothic architecture, featuring onion domes and intricate spiral staircases on the minarets.
Stop to see the major rock boulder with the edicts of Emperor Ashoka inscribed on it, dating back to 250 BC. It's on the way to Girnar Hill. You can also consider visiting a local temple like the Swaminarayan Temple near the city center.
